DEAD SEA SCROLLS STUDY LIBRARY
The Dead Sea Scrolls are a manuscript library, not a single Bible translation. XIGEN separates biblical witnesses, commentaries, community texts, hymns, legal works, and other Second Temple-period compositions while linking to the institutions that preserve the manuscripts.
XIGEN does not mirror Israel Antiquities Authority manuscript photography or modern copyrighted translations. This library stores descriptive metadata and links outward to authoritative digital collections.
IAA Digital LibraryThe Judaean Desert manuscripts include partial or complete copies from nearly every book of the Hebrew Bible, alongside textual forms that can agree with or differ from later Masoretic wording.
The archive also contains community rules, commentaries, hymns, prayers, wisdom, apocalyptic works, legal compositions, calendars, and parabiblical texts.
These manuscripts remain a distinct study collection. XIGEN will never silently replace a Bible translation with a reconstructed or modern scholarly DSS text.
This is a navigation layer, not an exhaustive catalog. Use the IAA archive for the broader manuscript database and the Israel Museum for its high-resolution showcase scrolls.
